What’s up with me (besides my Clinical Electives)?

Hi blog world!

I’ve been tumbling all day through my 12-hour electives in Emergency Medicine this month, and a holiday today feels like a vacation. :D

Today on this crispy morning, I’m starting my USMLE Step 01 Microbiology (I just finished my Immunology last week)…and here’s the news!

I’m not doing traditional Kaplan for Microbiology, but am working through Sketchy Mirco videos for concept (and for killing boredom, lol). They’re awesome, I tell you. ^_^

Want to do ‘em?

Okay, here’s the precious link.

What’s on my Momentum* today?

*Momentum is Google Chrome Extension. A wonderful productivity tool!

So here is what it says to me today:
“If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears.”

How nice? Yeap. Needed it today. Thank you, sir x :)

Day 01 of Semester VIII! *overwhelmed* :(

Okay, so it’s Monday and a baaaaad 29-degree-centigrade temperature in Karachi, Pakistan today, and I had my first day of Semester VIII.

Modules I’m having in this semester:
1. ENT
2. Neurology
3. Rehabilitation
4. Genetics
5. Dermatology (possibly) :/

My ward rotations for this semester:
1. ENT
2. Obs/Gyn
3. Surgical Unit (ICU)
4. Urology
5. Radiology
6. Dermatology

Sigh.

Today, we started with the ‘ear’ part of ENT, and I surely enjoyed it! :) BUT…I’m pretty overwhelmed with all this burden of next 4 months (considering that I’m upping my USMLE game this year, so I am surely on a grind to push my medical school and MLE studies together). God, help me!

I’m tired SUPER-tired today! I had two classes and a 2-hour long ward posting, and I hadn’t slept well last night, so it’s quite understandable, no? -_-

I’ll be back with my MLE plan tomorrow. (HINT: Imma touch on physio!)
PLUS, I’m going out with my girls tomorrow, so expect some foodie pictures too. ;)

Exams over!   ^.^

Hey 250+ beautiful people!
Just thought about touching base and saying hi to you all. I just wrote my last paper today - and it went great!

It feels so good to be back in groove because this semester was literally the lengthiest and most demanding (and the exams were just as tough, duh!).

Now let’s talk about good stuff:

1. The first thing I’m looking to add to my blog is the ‘comments’ thing. Anyone knows how it’s done? I’m figuring it out right now (and I won’t mind if any one of you would like to help). :)

2. I’ll be renovating my blog to entirety. (But I’m still looking for inspiration. My exams literally sucked away my imagination. LOL).

3. I’ll definitely be adding new tabs here. This is not going to be an anon blog. I would really like you all to know me as I’m, and I’d like to know y’all too! :)

More ideas? Drop me a message anytime!

Let me get back to you when I have some news.

Cheers x

How to: Self care

Hey guys! Although studying is important, self care is just as important. Sometimes during a busy day we can forget to look after ourselves. These are the things that I normally do when I feel like I’m stuck in the cycle of not feeling motivated or not wanting to do work.

2. My brother’s finals are here too! His first exam of biology is on 30th, and we’re just too much into books these days. I might throw up now, God!

3. GOOD NEWS! I got a new study table! YAYAYAY! :) Can’t wait to share its shot with you all, but let’s first get done with these exams, yeah? PLUS, I am also planning to revamp my blog after I’m free next week. Any suggestions?
