See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

When you have 2 night calls in ER/week. 😰

This is me when I see my next week’s schedule for 12-hour night calls in Emergency Medicine at AKU, as part of my Clinical Electives. Whew.

This is my first post ans I wanted it to be something good. As a very anxious student I usually (reads: all the time) find it very difficult to relax during exams week, before important tests or during the week in general. So I put together a little list of things that help me relax.

1. food/drinks (following a recipe helps you not to think in whatever is making you nervous)

2. music (i’d recommend listen to classical or music you don’t alredy know the lyrics for, grab that abound that released last month and you still haven’t heard)

3. strech (your back/shoulders/arms will thank you later)

4. plan!!! (having a so said “control” of your day, week, month, etc will help your mind to settle down a little bit, schedules and routines are a great way to put your mind at ease. go figure)

5. more tips

  • wear comfy clothing
  • stay hidrated
  • call a friend
  • play a silly game
  • exercise!!!
  • do something you’ve been needing to do (tidy your room, the dishes, etc)

I hope this helped!

Hello, friends! (after 2 weeks, yep.)

Take my sorry first (for being so away from Tumblr). </3
These weeks have been CRAZY. I had this Students’ Week going on in my medical college. And I haven’t done much of my USMLE studies in all this time, so there was really nothing new to post about.
But first, let’s resume some Medblr posting with a lifestyle knack :)

Friday//10:52 AM, and I’m at home today, taking my rest before I start my studies.

Cooked these healthy noodles for two (dad and myself). ^.^

Eating healthy is self-respect! :)
So eat well, sweat some and study hard. xoxo

Embrace the glorious mess that you are!

It’s okay to come out of your super-organised, strictly-maintained and cautiously-disciplined shell of a human being every once in a while. Take a break, ease off, straighten yourself out and re-organize! :)

And this is what I’m doing today: Cleaning up the bits and pieces, and restarting my Kaplan Physiology. ^.^

I’m also starting a ‘50daysofproductivity’ thingy on my medblr this week!

Stay tuned, see yall soon x

- Amazing video. I’m sure as hell going to get a three-ring binder to hold my First Aid 2016. :) Soon. Will update you people on it when I’m done.

For now, I have my Modular Test (Orthopedics and Trauma Care) tomorrow.

Prayers, please. <3

Now back to studies. Ciao.

My 2016 bucket list!

2016 is approaching fast (it’s almost there) and I am just realizing that this year is going to be super crucial for me!!!

image

Time is literally squeezing. I’m in 4th year, and will soon graduate. And since I am an IMG (international medical graduate), I don’t want the qualms of studying for my steps in internship time. So I need Step 1 done in 2016!

I have broken down my path week-wise, and will work subject-wise in a systematic way to unlock this aim. I have things planned up, and will post them with time. :)

Second, I am looking to increase my productivity and stay healthy. I am very sloppy with my health matters. I sit and eat, study and sleep. Simple as that. I now resolve to eat healthy and incorporate exercise in my life.

image

And best of all, I need to generate more intimacy with God! Amen.

(to be continued…)

-> What is the #01 thing in your 2016 wishlist?

-> Are you targeting Step 1 in 2016 too?

Let’s beat it up and do it!
